What We Do
Every day...well, just about. We offer a variety of activities to assist our college-age in enriching their spiritual lives while here at MSU. Whether it's our Monday Night Suppers, Retreats, Prayer Groups, Life Groups, Devotionals, Recreation, Bible Classes, or just hanging out at the UCSC, there is always something to get you connected deeper to Jesus, fellow students & the resident members here at the Starkville Church of Christ.

Retreats
Every semester the students leave the grandeur of Starkville for a weekend of Guys Retreat, Cold and Wet but FUNfellowship and devotion, leaving behind “worldly cares” to focus on getting to know one another and God. These weekends are highlights in the midst of a hectic school year and stress. These retreats are sometimes jointly sponsored in conjunction with other Christian Student Centers. This gives our students opportunity to meet and be encouraged by other Christians in the same stages of life. There are also girl retreats and guys get-a-ways that provide a time of fun and unity.

RecreationNot an olympic size pool, but cool
For those who like to get out and have some fun (athletic or not) MSU has intramural football, basketball, and softball. The UCSC always has at least one team participating in each of these activities. These activities are in addition to the on-site table tennis, foosball, slip-n-slide, and basketball.

MissionsMission Effort to Italy 2007
One of our goals is to help the students who come our way to develop an awareness and a limitless passion for the Great Commission. In addition to the usual outreach to friends on campus, every year the UCSC students have the opportunity to “go make disciples to all nations…teaching them to obey everything (the Lord) commanded” in foreign fields. This allows the students to be exposed to cultures and lifestyles different than their own. Students from the Student Center have traveled to Italy, Scotland, Poland and Honduras.

Student Center Facilities

The Student Center building is well-designed to meet the needs of the congregation’s ministry to college students. It has a large fellowship area, a lounging area with couches and a big-screen TV. There is also a kitchen, a library with Bibles and commentaries, office space for staff and wireless internet available. Feel free to come cook, watch TV, do homework (well maybe), get some of thoae Monday Night Supper left-over’s, or simply hang out.
A great place to hang out and snack
